SB 5945 - DIGEST

      Creates the department of marine transportation.

      Transfers powers, duties, and functions of the transportation department related to the state ferry system to the new department.

      Gives authority to the governor to appoint the secretary of the department.

      Repeals RCW 47.64.290.
