SB 6030 - DIGEST

      Provides that it is unlawful for a person under the age of sixteen to operate or ride upon a bicycle unless the person is wearing a protective helmet as specified by the state patrol.

      Provides that it is unlawful for a guardian of a person under the age of sixteen to knowingly allow such person to operate or ride a bicycle unless he or she is wearing a protective helmet.

      Prohibits the sale of helmets which do not meet the requirements established by the state patrol.

      Prohibits the rental of bicycles to persons under the age of sixteen unless the rider possesses a protective helmet.
