Directs the University of Washington to establish standards for conducting infant drug exposure assessments to determine possible drug exposure of infants prior to birth.
Requires the assessments to be held confidential.
Requires the coordination of efforts to deliver services to chemically dependent pregnant women and chemically dependent mothers and infants.
Encourages training and education to provide information on identifying signs of drug usage, the effects of drug exposure, and referring patients to appropriate treatment and services.
Makes an appropriation of forty-five thousand dollars to carry out the purposes of the act.
