SB 6164 - DIGEST

      Imposes a tax of twenty-five cents on every admission ticket to a professional sporting event in the state.

      Requires all revenue from the tax to be deposited in the youth recreation account.

      Establishes a youth recreation advisory committee.

      Requires the funds to be expended for construction of recreational facilities, the extension of hours of operation for existing facilities, sports medicine research, and training programs for referees, managers, and coaches of youth sports.

      Provides immunity from civil suit for referees, managers, and coaches.

      Prescribes a class C felony penalty for assaulting a referee, manager, or coach.
