     On page 4, after line 24, insert:

     "NEW SECTION. Sec. 3.  In any private cause of action brought under this chapter alleging employment discrimination by an employer who employs fewer than eight employees, the court shall award the prevailing party reasonable costs and attorneys' fees."

Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct internal references accordingly.

EFFECT:  Provides that in employment discrimination suits brought against employers who employ fewer than eight employees, the prevailing party is entitled to reasonable costs and attorneys' fees.
