     On page 10, beginning on line 4, after "entry" strike everything through "((therefor)) on line 8 and insert "((, and the reasonable cost of such food and water may be collected by him of the owner of such animal, and the said animal shall be subject to attachment therefor and shall not be exempt from levy and sale upon execution issued upon a judgment))"

EFFECT:  Existing law is stricken which provides that a person who gives an animal food and water when the animal is impounded or confined without food and water for more than 24 hours may collect the cost of the food from the owner who impounded the animal.
