     On page 12, beginning on line 35, after "prevention" strike everything through "treatment" on line 38 and insert "program"

EFFECT:  A provision is stricken which authorized the court to order a person convicted of a misdemeanor or gross misdemeanor violation of the animal cruelty laws to obtain psychological counseling or mental health treatment or to attend an animal cruelty education program.
