     On page 15, line 26 of the amendment, after "treatment." insert the following: "The defendant shall pay the cost of the examination ordered unless the court finds the defendant to be indigent in which case the state shall pay the cost."

     On page 16, line 25 of the amendment, after "duration." insert the following: "The defendant shall pay the cost of treatment ordered unless the court finds the defendant to be indigent in which case the state shall pay the cost."

EFFECT:  Individuals that are found by the court to be indigent who may qualify for the Sex Offender Sentencing Option (SOSA) shall have the cost of their examinations and treatment paid for by the Department of Corrections.
