Background:  A section of the law pertaining to the scope of practice of a health care assistant was amended twice during the 1986 legislative session, each without reference to the other. The two amendments were drafted in a manner that could not be reconciled without the section appearing twice in the code.

 

Summary of Bill:  The section is reenacted incorporating the two disparate amendments in a manner consistent with proper drafting.

 

Fiscal Note:  Not requested.

 

Effective Date:  Ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.

 

Testimony For:  This is necessary for maintaining proper standards of code revision.
