Background: When the Council for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect was established in statute, three council members' terms were set at two years, and three council members' terms were set at three years. This provided staggered terms so all six members' terms did not expire at the same time.
Summary of Bill: The six council members appointed by the Governor will all serve three year terms.
