BACKGROUND:

 

A public printer is appointed by the Governor and holds office at the Governor's pleasure.  Certain printing activities are mandated to be performed by the public printer. 

 

SUMMARY:

 

The printing of educational publications of the state historical societies is excluded from this section's application and from any provisions of this chapter.

TESTIMONY FOR:

 

This bill gives state historical societies the optional flexibility, on a par with educational institutions, to extend the generosity of private donors and only applies to educational publications.
