BACKGROUND:

 

Credit union examination reports are treated as confidential documents that are not subject to public disclosure requirements.  There are several exceptions to this confidentiality requirement, allowing the Supervisor of Savings and Loan to furnish reports to federal and state regulators, the examined credit union, and other specified persons.

 

Some interest has been expressed in allowing a trade association and designated agents access to the reports.

 

SUMMARY:

 

The Supervisor of Savings and Loan may furnish a credit union examination report to an agent designated by the credit union.  In addition, a report may be furnished to the Washington credit union league when the examined credit union approves such release.
