BACKGROUND:

Cities are not always given the opportunity to comment and help direct cutting of timber in urban growth areas when those areas are outside of the city limits. 

SUMMARY:

The Department of Natural Resources may not approve a Class III forest practices application covering any land lying within an urban growth management area which is established under the Growth Management Act.
