HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 93-4618, by Representatives Anderson, Locke, Heavey, Valle, G. Fisher, Jacobsen, Leonard and J. Kohl

 

            WHEREAS, B. J. Klump has served for many years as the Coordinator of Deputy Voter Registrars for King County and has performed her many duties with dedication and good humor (usually); and

            WHEREAS, B. J. Klump has developed training and education programs for deputy voter registrars and has provided classes and support for over ten thousand deputy voter registrars in King County; and

            WHEREAS, B. J. Klump has worked closely with the Secretary of State's office and with the county auditors to design and implement various voter registration forms and procedures and has encouraged better communication among the counties to provide superior service for the voters of Washington state; and

            WHEREAS, B. J. Klump is a wonderful, all-around citizen.  She has worked for her community as a reporter on the local paper to keep people informed, for the betterment of mentally disabled people through legislative and other proactive efforts, and for the betterment of schools and education through participation in the parent teacher association at district and state levels; and

            WHEREAS, B. J. Klump has been a source of support and encouragement to her family, her coworkers, and her friends; and

            WHEREAS, B. J. Klump will be retiring this month and will be honored at a special dinner on February 25, 1993;

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives is happy to acknowledge and thank B. J. Klump for her years of service to the people of Washington state and wishes her a happy retirement; and

            BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be immediately transmitted by the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives to B. J. Klump.
