Restricting insurance companies.

          AN ACT Relating to the insurance contract; and adding a new section to chapter 48.18 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 48.18 RCW to read as follows:

          An insurer may not cancel, fail to renew, increase premiums, or reduce coverage under any policy based solely upon the fact that the insured filed a claim under that policy, if there is no more than one claim under that policy per calendar year, and the event resulting in the claim was in no part the fault of the insured.
