HB 1006 - DIGEST

(SUBSTITUTED FOR - SEE 1ST SUB)

     Authorizes the secretary of transportation to solicit, evaluate, negotiate, and administer public-private agreements with the private sector relating to the planning and construction of transportation systems and facilities.

     Authorizes six demonstration projects.

     Designates ownership of the public-private transportation initiatives, assigns policing responsibilities, and requires compliance with standards for state projects.

     Provides mechanisms for funding the projects.
