HB 1059-S.E - DIGEST

(DIGEST AS ENACTED)

     Makes it a misdemeanor offense to enter a courtroom or judge's chamber while knowingly possessing a weapon.

     Authorizes local governments to prohibit weapons in other portions of a building containing a courtroom.

     Requires the provision of a lockbox within the building for deposit of weapons.

     Requires a warning notice of the restriction to be posted.
