(DIGEST AS ENACTED)

     Increases the permissible number of days from seventy-five to ninety days per school year.

     Authorizes the additional days to be used only for substitute teaching in areas where a shortage of substitutes exist.

     Applies to benefits payable after September 1, 1994.
