HB 1409-S.E - DIGEST

     Authorizes community residential programs and adult family home direct care staff who have trained as nursing assistants to administer medications or treatments to persons with developmental disabilities.

     Requires supervision of the staff by a registered nurse.

     Directs the secretary of health in consultation with the department of social and health services and the state board of nursing to monitor the implementation of the act and make a report by December 31, 1996.
