HB 1463 - DIGEST

     Directs the investigation of opportunities for salmonid habitat improvement in Hood Canal tributaries.

     Modifies methods of commercial salmon fishing to allow escape of naturally spawning salmonids, while harvesting hatchery stocks.

     Does not affect existing treaty Indian fishing rights.

     Assesses the need for sea mammal control measures to assure the survival of wild salmonids.
