(DIGEST AS ENACTED)

     Regulates the conduct of going out of business sales in order to prevent unfair and deceptive acts or practices in trade and commerce, and to prevent unfair methods of competition.

     Requires a recording of the notice of sale and execution of an affidavit of inventory.

     Exempts certain designated sales.

     Makes a knowing violation of the requirements of the act a gross misdemeanor offense.

     Preempts local regulations of the sales.
