HB 1720-S - DIGEST

(DIGEST OF PROPOSED 1ST SUBSTITUTE)

     Requires the containers to be labeled with a code that indicates the resin used to produce the container after January 1, 1997.

     Provides that, after January 1, 1997, it is unlawful to offer for sale a rigid plastic container that is not labeled in accordance with the act.

     Prohibits use of a symbol consisting of three triangulated arrows.

     Repeals RCW 70.95F.020 effective January 1, 1997.
