HB 1720 - DIGEST

     Requires the containers to be labeled with a code that indicates the resin used to produce the container.

     Prohibits use of the recycling symbol unless the container meets the definition of recyclable specified by provisions of the act.

     Provides that, after January 1, 1996, it is unlawful to manufacture a rigid plastic container that is not labeled in accordance with the act.
