(DIGEST AS ENACTED)

     Revises provisions of chapter 81.84 RCW to delete references to steamboat companies and apply the regulations to commercial ferry operators.

     Revises the restrictions for operation of private carriers within ten miles of the state ferry routes.

     Requires the operator to obtain liability and property damage insurance.

     Establishes procedures for the suspension, or revocation of a certificate to operate a ferry.
