HB 2223 - DIGEST

     Authorizes the universities and colleges to make application to the department to issue a series of collegiate license plates depicting the mascot or symbol of the institution.

     Authorizes registered owners of a vehicle to apply to the department for the collegiate license plates upon payment of an additional fee of thirty dollars.

     Creates the collegiate license plate fund program.

     Authorizes the monies in each college or university account to be used for student scholarships.

     Repeals RCW 46.16.323.
