HB 2362 - DIGEST

     Establishes limitations on the transfer and possession of pistols and short firearms.

     Provides that any person who gives or acquires possession of any pistol or short firearm in violation of this chapter is absolutely and strictly liable for any damage to any person or the property of any person that occurs as the direct and proximate use of or threat of use of the firearm.

     Provides that any firearm found in the possession of any person that has been acquired in violation of the act is subject to confiscation and forfeiture.

     Establishes fees for processing of applications for the sale or transfer of firearms.
