(DIGEST AS ENACTED)

     Revises RCW 46.87.023 relating to the registration of rental cars.

     Requires the cars to be titled and registered under the provisions of chapters 46.12 and 46.16 RCW.

     Provides for collection of the excise tax when a rental vehicle is sold.

     Eliminates the issuance of special rental car plates for safety purposes.
