HB 2540 - DIGEST

(SUBSTITUTED FOR - SEE 1ST SUB)

     Requires local law enforcement officials to give at least fourteen days notice whenever they release information concerning the pending release of a sex offender.

     Revises notification requirements for furloughs, conditional release, transfer, or final release to be accomplished no later than thirty days prior to release or transfer.

     Declares that the thirty day requirement shall not apply to emergency medical furloughs.
