(DIGEST AS ENACTED)

     Provides cross references to existing statutes that affect calculation of pensions under the retirement systems authorized by Chapters 41.40 and 41.32 RCW to the relevant definition sections of those chapters.

     Declares the act to be technical in nature and neither enhances nor diminishes existing pension rights.

     Creates the pension funding account and transfers twenty-five million dollars from the budget stabilization account into the pension funding account.

     Excludes persons enrolled in apprenticeship programs if they are a member of a union-sponsored retirement plan or a Taft-Hartley plan.
