HB 2845 - DIGEST

     Provides that, except in a medical emergency situation, no abortion shall be performed on an unemancipated, pregnant minor unless she has given written consent and has notified both her parents or her legal guardian.

     Establishes procedures for a petition to a court for a waiver of the notice requirement when parents or guardians cannot be located.

     Requires physicians to make reports to DSHS when an abortion is performed on a minor.

     Provides a gross misdemeanor penalty for willful violation of the act.
