HB 2921 - DIGEST

     Provides for increased penalties for crimes committed while armed with a firearm.

     Establishes requirements for retaining sentencing or plea agreements as public records.

     Directs the sentencing guidelines commission to compile a yearly record of a judge's sentencing practices.

     Prohibits good time credits or earned early release time for that portion of a sentence resulting from a deadly weapon enhancement.

     Prohibits theft of firearms, a class B felony.

     Prohibits the possession of a stolen firearm.

     Establishes the commission of a murder to obtain membership in an organization, a murder by a drive-by shooting, and murder during a residential burglary as an offense of aggravated first degree murder.
