SB 5008 - DIGEST

     Authorizes the secretary of health to issue a special limited license to qualified retired physicians to provide medical care to low-income citizens without compensation.

     Restricts the service to primary care only.

     Establishes standards for holders of the special licenses.

     Provides immunity from civil liability for acts or omissions occurring in the course of providing care in the absence of intentional wrong or wanton disregard for human health or safety.
