     Requires a dealer of sports memorabilia to furnish to the consumer at the time of sale a certificate of authenticity.

     Designates the required elements of the certificate.

     Requires notice of the requirements of the act to be posted at a place of business or included in an advertisement for a mailorder or telephone order business.

     Provides that a person who violates the act is guilty of a gross misdemeanor and of a violation of the consumer protection act.

     Takes effect July 1, 1995.
