     Encourages the development and expansion of alternative livestock farming in the state.

     Enacts procedures to protect wildlife and existing traditional livestock industries by providing an effective disease inspection and control program for alternative livestock farming operations.

     Requires all persons engaged in farming or ranching of alternative livestock to register annually with the department of agriculture.

     Creates the alternative livestock council.

     Makes it unlawful to hunt ungulates and ratites reared on an alternative livestock farm.

     Declares that unrestrained alternative livestock are a public nuisance.

     Requires inspection of meat and meat by-products of alternative livestock.
