(DIGEST AS ENACTED)

     Revises the distribution formula for local criminal justice fiscal assistance.

     Deletes the termination date of January 1, 1994, for taxes to fund the criminal justice assistance accounts.

     Directs the department of community development to adopt criteria to be used in making grants to cities under RCW 82.14.330 (2).

     Authorizes the adoption of a one-tenth of one percent sales or use tax to fund criminal justice programs without voter approval, but leaves referendum authority.

     Makes an appropriation of sixty million dollars to carry out the purposes of the act.
