SB 5840 - DIGEST

     Requires development regulations to be consistent with the flood plain management plan adopted by the county under RCW 86.26.105.

     Revises provisions regulating the issuance of permits for projects to ensure protection of fish life.

     Requires basic hydraulic principles to be employed for the use or modification of any river system.

     Encourages the removal of accumulated materials from rivers and streams if there is a flood damage reduction benefit.
