SB 5971 - DIGEST

(SUBSTITUTED FOR - SEE 1ST SUB)

     Declares an intent to have all common schools in the state to have a school breakfast and lunch program by the 1995-96 school year.

     Authorizes the schools to apply for federal and state funds to help implement the program.

     Requires a report on schools who are not in compliance with the act by December 1995.

     Provides that the act shall be null and void if appropriations are not approved.
