(DIGEST AS ENACTED)

     Provides that a person who speeds in a construction zone is subject to a double fine that cannot be reduced, suspended, or waived.

     Provides that a person who drives a vehicle in a highway construction zone in willful disregard for the safety of workers is guilty of reckless endangerment of highway workers, a gross misdemeanor offense.

     Requires suspension of the driving privilege upon conviction of reckless endangerment of highway workers.
