SB 6118 - DIGEST

     Declares an intent to provide as a sentencing option for certain youthful offenders a controlled and regimented environment that affirms dignity of self and others, promotes the value of work and self-discipline, and develops useful skills and abilities through enriched programming.

     Encourages equitable treatment in sentencing for female and male offenders.

     Establishes requirements for a sentence to the youthful offender system and specifies the principles the system must be based on.
