SB 6265 - DIGEST

(AS OF SENATE 2ND READING 2/11/94)

     Authorizes county legislative authorities to impose a county 911 excise tax on the use of radio access lines located within the county in an amount not exceeding twenty-five cents per month for each radio access line.

     Establishes procedures to identify the number of a caller using 911 emergency services with two-way telecommunications equipment.

     Directs the department of revenue to conduct a study of the base and rate for the 911 excise tax.
