SB 6326 - DIGEST

 

     Requires written notice to a county prosecutor at least three months prior to the release of an offender serving a term of confinement for a class A felony.

     Authorizes the prosecutor to request an evaluation and investigation of the offender by a mental health professional to determine whether proceedings for involuntary commitment of the offender is appropriate.

     Requires offenders to be subject to postrelease supervision.

     Prohibits early release credits for periods the offender is using psychotropic drugs.
