SB 6330 - DIGEST

 

     Declares a policy that neither parent shall be preferred over the other in determining residential provisions, custody of the child, financial support, decision-making authority, or parental rights.

     Revises the objectives of the permanent parenting plan to provide for the child's mental and emotional health, as well as the physical care.

     Provides for the child's continuing and frequent contact with both parents.

     Establishes conditions for deviation from joint parenting provisions.

     Requires determination of which parent may claim the tax exemption for each child.
