SB 6597 - DIGEST

     Declares an intent that consumers pay a fair price for drugs and not subsidize large discounts for others due to formularies and other nonvolume-based pricing mechanisms.

     Prohibits state agencies from purchasing drugs from a seller that engages in any price discrimination.

     Authorizes treble damages for violations of the act.

     Does not apply to hospitals which purchase drugs for its own uses.
