     On page 2, beginning on line 26, strike all of subsection "(2)"

     On page 2, line 26, insert the following:

     "(2) "Parent" means a biological, adoptive or foster parent, a legal guardian, an extended caretaker or any other individual authorized, designated or responsible for the care or custody of a minor child or student, regardless of consanguinity. Emancipated minors, or individuals over the age of majority, are exempted from the provisions of this act requiring consent of a parent."

EFFECT: Adds additional individuals who may be responsible for a child and who may give consent; recognizes that some students may be of the majority or emancipated.
