     On page 2, line 11, after "70.41 RCW;" strike "and"

     On page 2, line 13, strike "licensed practitioners" and insert "physicians licensed under chapter 18.71 RCW, osteopathic physicians or surgeons licensed under chapter 18.57 RCW, or podiatric physicians or surgeons licensed under chapter 18.22 RCW"

     On page 2, line 15, after "extended to" insert "such"

     On page 2, line 18, after "under this chapter" insert ";

     (c) A facility in which the services are provided solely by dentists licensed under chapter 18.32 RCW and persons assisting or under the supervision of dentists.  However, such a facility may request licensure as an ambulatory surgical center if the facility meets the requirements of this chapter and rules adopted under this chapter"

     On page 2, line 20, strike all of subsection (3) and renumber the remaining subsections consecutively.

     On page 2, beginning on line 30, after "methods" strike all material through "procedures" on line 33

     On page 2, after line 33, insert the following:

     "NEW SECTION. Sec. 3.  (1) Nothing in this act shall be construed in any manner to change the scope of practice of a health care practitioner.

     (2) Nothing in this act shall be construed to limit an ambulatory surgical center to performing only surgical procedures."

     Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct internal references accordingly.

EFFECT OF ALL AMENDMENTS:  Deletes definition of and references to "licensed practitioners" who practice surgical procedures and replaces any reference with the specific professions affected.  Individual practice acts will govern which professions can perform surgical procedures.  Clarifies that scope of practice is not affected by this bill.
