     On page 29, beginning on line 23, strike all material through "86.26 RCW;" on line 32

Renumber the remaining subsections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

EFFECT:  Deletes 3 subsections that amend the Shoreline Management Act.  These subsections exempt the following projects from need to obtain a locally issued substantial development permit:  1) Improvements to dikes and levees if the county determines the project is consistent with a local flood plan; 2) Sediment removal, sediment disposal, and streambank stabilization projects if the county determines the project has a flood control benefit; and 3) Construction of stream regulation, retention, or detention facilities if consistent with a flood control management plan.
