SSB 6274 ‑ H AMD TO STRIKING AMENDMENT (H5354.1) ADOPTED 3-1-96

     On page 24, beginning on line 33 of the amendment, strike sections 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10

 

Re-number the remaining sections consecutively, and correct any internal references and the title accordingly.

 


 

 

 

EFFECT:  Removes from the bill the provisions addressing: (1) persons requesting notification from DOC regarding a sex offender's proposed residential address; (2) DOC's receipt of public input regarding safety risks of particular offenders; (3) the criteria for DOC's discretionary decisions regarding release and supervision of sex offenders;  (4) DOC's approval or rejection of residences proposed by sex offenders who offended against minors; (5) the criteria a judge is to consider before conditionally releasing a sexually violent predator; (6) DSHS rule-making concerning the qualifications of persons or entities providing housing to a conditionally released sexually violent predator; and (7) DOC's investigation of additional restrictions on conditionally released sexually violent predators regarding living near facilities with vulnerable populations.
