     On page 52, beginning on line 33 of the amendment, strike all of section 55

     Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

EFFECT OF AMENDMENT:  Strikes the language permitting a fine of up to $10,000 to be imposed against a school district if the school district does not carry out its duties in adminsitering the compulsory attendance laws.
