    On page 6, line 19, after "governor" strike "shall" and insert "may"

EFFECT:  Changes the governor's mandatory duty to assign an interagency council on osteoporosis to a discretionary responsibility.

    On page 6, line 21, before "council" insert "oversight"

EFFECT:  Changes the role of the interagency council on osteoporosis from an administrative body to an oversight body.

    On page 6, line 22, after "shall" insert "assist department of health efforts to"

    On page 6, line 29, after "Assist" delete "the department and other" and insert "other departments and"

EFFECT:  Shifts the responsibility to perform the duties assigned to the interagency council on osteoporosis from the council to the department of health.

    On page 6, line 37, after "The" strike "interagency council on osteoporosis" and insert "department"

EFFECT:  Shifts the responsibility to establish a nongovernmental advisory panel on osteoporosis from the interagency council on osteoporosis to the department of health.
