    On page 4, line 37, after "(iv)" strike everything through and including "system." on page 5, line 4, and insert the following:  "Participation by school districts in the assessment system developed by the commission shall not be mandatory, but shall be optional at the discretion of the school district."

    Renumber the sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly

EFFECT: Makes participation in education reform assessment system optional rather than mandatory.
